In February of 2021, I got the idea of having a mini plant hanger in my car. From there I combined my love of plants and creative side (with inspiration from Pinterest) to make my best seller “The Mini Air Plant Hanger”. Quickly growing in popularity among a few Vancouver Island houseplant Facebook groups, I starting adding different styles and received requests for larger pieces.

Over a year later, I have grown into a small business attending markets across the island and having my items available in local storefronts.

At Van Isle Macrame, I do my best to source my supplies locally and through other small based businesses. From plant hangers, decor and accessories each piece is handmade by me. Special thank you to my friends and family who I couldn’t run this businesses without, and the support of my customers!
